Ranger is a product of Odyssey bloodlines, out of CrossPoint's Callie and Chuck Parietti's NAGDC DC Odyssey's Cool-J Callen. Ranger is very affectionate - he loves to give hugs. This affection toward people makes him very biddable when it comes to training.
Ranger excels as a foot-hunting dog. He has some horseback Field Trial placements, but his sweet spot is joining you in a real hunt, staying within easy range to handle. It's simply a joy to hunt behind Ranger. It takes minimum guidance to put him right where you want him. As a pup, Ranger showed the strong natural pointing and retrieving instincts of our line. He was easily trained to steady to wing-shot-fall. He completed his Senior Hunt Test title by achieving five straight passes. We believe that pups out of Ranger will produce outstanding foot-hunting companions - which will be particularly appreciated by people who may be coming over to GSP's from labs, or other flushing / retrieving breeds. Ranger also has his show conformation title, with handling done by Velocity Handling and Clint Livingston.
