Breeding Pair: CrossPoint's Gambles Bonnie the Jet (Bonnie) x NAGDC/DC/AFC Odyssey's Saint Rocco (Rocco)
Bonnie has completed her AKC Master Hunter title - with her last few performances essentially flawless - scoring 9's and 10's in some very tough hunt test situations. She is a very good, very determined bird finder - very strong 100% reliable natural retriever, and fairly natural backer. She has the speed, independence, determination, and animation to be competitive in Field Trials as well.
Rocco is 3/8ths Hall of Fame Sam Saint Max (DC / AFC / BISS ODYSSEY’S SAM SAINT MAX MH) - and a direct son of NAGDC / DC Odyssey's Cool-J Callen - of which I have been very impressed with the pups we have gotten out of Callen. As a NAGDC and Dual Champion - Rocco has to be considered one of the very top GSP sires in the country. My first litter of pups out of Rocco were very bold, and displayed very strong natural bird dog instincts at a young age. Genetically, Bonnie is 1/8th Sam Saint Max, so the puppies from this Rocco x Bonnie litter will produce pups that are 25% HoF Sam Saint Max. Both Bonnie and Rocco have OFA Excellent hips - so the under-carriage of these pups should be first rate as well. This will be a classic line-breeding, not "in-breeding" - as there is substantial variety within the breeding, while building off the excellent qualities of Hall of Fame Sam Saint Max.
This litter will have a very heavy concentration of Dual Champions as well as National Field Champions. In the Four Generation Pedigree of Rocco x Bonnie - 80% will have a performance title, 40% will be Dual Champions (12 out of 30), and 23% (7 out of 30) will be either a National Champion or Hall of Fame GSP. These pups should be great foundation stock for anyone seeking to breed top-quality, even-tempered German Shorthaired Pointers. These pups will be $1300 each due to the lineage they represent.
