Marshall …. “He’s a whole lotta dog…”
Marshall is a sweet, gentle dog in the house. He has a solid liver head, deep chest and straight top-line. He won a 4-pt. major specialty dog show his very first weekend dog show. He completed his conformation championship in less than three (3) months of campaigning in the show ring. Show handling services provided by Michael and Sarah Luther at Velocity Pro Handling services.
In the field, Marshall covers the field like the wind. He has tremendous stamina and endurance, rarely ever stopping to get water. He is fast, flashy, and beautiful on point. Marshall is the kind of dog that simply catches your eyes, and won't let them go. To watch Marshall hunt or run a field trial is like watching poetry in motion. Marshall finished his Field Championship in four (4) months of campaigning - becoming one of the youngest Dual Champion GSP's in the history of the breed - at 36 months of age.
Marshall is line-bred off two (2) different Hall of Fame - National Field Champions. He is 3/8ths Hall of Fame, National Field Champion, Chisholm Creek’s Cuttin’ Loose. Marshall is also 1/4th Hall of Fame, NFC Uodibar's Shoot the Moon. Thus, Marshall is literally 5/8ths Hall of Fame, NFC by bloodline. His sire was nationally competitive GFC/FC HK’s Prime Cut. His dam, HK’s Mighty Mo Mabel was the daughter of one NFC and a 3rd Runner-Up NFC – so the breeding behind Marshall is definitely national caliber.
More comments about Marshall's competitive standing.... When Marshall won his first 25-dog stake (5-pt. major), the 2nd place performer in that trial had just placed 3rd our of 90 dogs at the 2021 GSPCA National Field Trial a few months earlier. According to AKC Open Gun Dog ratings for the period of Jan 1, 2022 through May 8, 2022 - Marshall was the #3 ranked dog in the nation, and the Top Ranked - Open / Open Limited Gun Dog with a Championship conformation title. Within the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America (GSPCA), for the period of January through July 2022, Marshall was ranked #1 Open Gun Dog in the country. This nationally ranked performance level was made possible by the expert training and field trial handling services provided by Perfection Kennel.
Marshall is the real deal if you are looking for a dual champion, national caliber quality sire. Marshall can bring to your bloodlines that coveted mixture of calm, biddability; natural back and retrieve - along with national caliber field range and show conformation good looks.

personality
Marshall is a very bold dog, but he is not overly headstrong. He is confident - reaching out to the edges of the field in search of birds. But, around the house, he is most likely to be found simply “standing beside you” to have his head patted or ears gently scratched.
He is fond of the water and could likely be quite competitive in dock diving competitions. He has a natural back, and fairly strong natural retrieve instinct. He is mostly quiet in the kennel, although he can get excited on the tie-out stake if it’s not his turn to go train or hunt.

performance
Some of the notable dogs Marshall has beaten during his fairly brief Field Trial campaign included the 2021 #1 AKC Open / Open Limited gundog as well as the 3rd place dog from the 2021 GSPCA National Field Trial in Eureka, KS.
Marshall won a 25-dog, 5-point major, as well as two 3-point majors, and a 2-point stake, in addition to a couple of 2nd place and one 4th place finish in broke-dog Open / Open Limited Field Trial stakes. All of Marshall’s placements in gundog stakes were handled by Perfection Kennel.
In the show ring, Marshall won a 4-point Specialty Major on his very first weekend of competing in dog shows. He finished his show title within 3 months of being handed to the show handler. Marshall’s journey to Show / Conformation Champion was handled by Velocity Pro Handling (Sarah Luther).

pedigree
Marshall has the distinction of being line-bred from HoF NFC Chisholm Creek’s Cuttin’ Loose (Cutter), being 3/8ths Cutter by lineage. He is also 1/4th HoF NFC Uodibars Shoot The Moon. Thus, Marshall is genetically 5/8ths Hall of Fame breeding.
Cutter has proven to be one of the premier pre-potent GSP sires of the past 10 – 15 years, with many of his get and grand-get earning national field championships.
Marshall’s dam comes from one of the most famous GSP litters of the 21st century – the crossing of Cutter with Miss Kitty from Dodge City. That litter produced no less than three (3) National Field Champions.
Needless to say, we are quite honored and humbled by having acquired Marshall and having seen his potential be manifest through completing the qualifications for his Dual Championship in just three (3) months of show competition, and four (4) months of field competition.
Because of the combined talent of Marshall and his handlers, he is one of the youngest GSP AKC Dual Champions in the history of the breed.
