We have been actively breeding German Shorthaired Pointers since 2014, with our first litter out of FC Odyssey’s Perfect Traveler (Charlie) – son of Hall of Fame BISS/DC/AFC Odyssey’s Sam St. Max MH. That litter produced pups that were very natural, very biddable, very calm – exceptional representatives of the breed. It also produced a number of repeat customers because of how pleased they were with the pups they received from us.
Since that time, I have been privileged to breed heavily into the world famous Odyssey Kennel bloodlines – established by Chuck Parietti of Maryville, MO that have produced over a dozen dual champions and three (3) National Field Champions. What makes these dogs so special is their natural ability to find birds, biddability, all complimented by the naturally steady to wing-shot-and-fall tendencies of my original breeding female Impressive Kazoya Rusty Mia Reduxx MH ROM (Reba). Reba was the kind of dog that was “born broke” – and more importantly she has passed that trait on to her daughters, and now on to her grandchildren. In fact, Reba has now qualified for the GSPCA Registry of Merit – having produced four (4) Master Hunters, and one (1) Dual Champion so far.
In addition to breeding heavily into the Odyssey bloodlines, I have had the privilege of gaining access to the offspring of another Hall of Fame German Shorthaired Pointer – NFC Chisholm Creek’s Cuttin Loose (Cutter) in two different ways. First, I purchased Marshall as a puppy that was line-bred on Cutter – who is well on his way to being a Dual Champion at less than 3 years old. Secondly, I’ve been able to breed directly to another NFC owned by Joe Inderman – NFC / FC Llano’s Game On Dude – a grandson of Cutter.
At this point, I evaluate my female puppies looking for essential qualities that can contribute positively to the GSP breed. Namely:
With a focus on these essential qualities – you should expect to get a dog that is an extremely natural bird dog, easy to live with in the house, mentally stable, conformationally correct – a dog that you’ll be proud to own, and a dog that you’ll get compliments on from people you meet. A dog that can compete and win at most any bird dog sport. We’ve produced the #1 GSP dock diving dog, field trial winners, wild bird hunting dogs, several therapy dogs, hunt test dogs, and countless family companions. Most importantly, we’ve had numerous repeat customers due to their satisfaction with the pups they get from us.
We stand behind what we breed. If you ever experience a problem with a pup you get from us, please contact us directly and we will work to correct the situation. All of our breeding stock have OFA Excellent or Good hips, good bites, and are otherwise soundly built. While there is no perfect dog – we are working hard to produce consistently great dogs with every litter that we produce.

- Mentally stable with a calm, biddable temperament
- Strong natural instinct to “go into cover” and find birds where they naturally hide. Note - - this trait for a dog to naturally “go into cover” is not present in all gun dogs
- Sufficient drive and independence to win Field Trials
- Excellent conformation – my goal is to produce dual champions
- Naturally steady to wing – pups that stand their birds upon pointing and wait for you to walk in and flush - - this makes the final breaking process to be steady to wing-shot-and-fall much easier
- Strong, natural retrieve instinct – the icing on the cake is having your dog find the birds, point and hold steady through the flush and shot, and then go and make the retrieve
